“It’s not exactly polite to, no.” Shuichi prodded his cake with a fork, eyes on a large strawberry. He wasn’t really hungry for it anymore. Odd for him. He was nearly always stuffing his mouth with sweets. “It’s like you were disappointed.” 

{❄} “I was.” Kyn admitted, with a smile. “Who wouldn’t be? Well, I was never too good at being polite anyhow- You don’t climb the ladder this fast with politeness.”

“Then again, you don’t make many friends, either.”

Shuichi supposed that much was true. He stared down at his cake and swallowed. It would be the first time that he didn’t finish one of Mrs. Graham’s sweets. “ …  Then how do you really feel…?”
