“I guess so. But it doesn’t change all that much, does it?” The woman was really strange. Her teeth and the way she spoke put Shuichi on edge. He certainly didn’t want to take a single step closer to her. “I remember my friend telling me it takes hundreds of years for language to change drastically.”
"Not really actually, haven’t you ever noticed how differently you speak now from the way did 10 even 5 years ago? Everything changes at either a rapid or slow pace, although usually it’s something in between.” She mused, unsure of whether or not this boy would even understand her; she could only hope for the best.
“I guess so.” Shuichi studied the strange woman; from her long, crimson hair to her bulky glasses with skeleton-adorned fastenings, she was intimidating. It didn’t help that she was taller than him – heels or not. “But guro has been around for so long. Why wouldn’t you know about it?”
