“Eleven hours of writing and this is still the worst thing I’ve ever written.” Eiri leaned back from his laptop, closing his eyes and letting the darkness consume him for just a moment.

A long day of erasing and rewriting paragraphs had begun to take its toll. His back and fingers ached, his feet were numb, and his eyes felt like they were ready to pop. 

He heard a noise,just beyond his office door. Eiri wasn’t shocked or worried. Hell, everyone in his life seemed to have a key now. Shuichi, Tohma, Mika, Tatsuha… to him, the list seemed endless.

“I don’t care who’s out there, just tell me what the hell you want.” Eiri stood, making a quick walk to the door and swung it open.

Hoping to surprise his favorite novelist, Shuichi had swung by with a bag of food from the cobini. He stood before Eiri looking rather smallish in an oversized shirt that hung low from his slender shoulder. His cheeks flushed and his brow gave an irritated twitch. “You don’t have to have be so cruel, you know! I came here for you!” He held out the bag and averted his gaze shy, pouting childishly. “I thought you might be hungry since you’ve been working so hard.”
