You’ve got your one-direction, your Justin Bieber, and your plethora of Disney channel stars that got too old-" 

The waitress had brought a couple small plates to the table, and a cup of tea for Shuichi. He thanked her quickly before continuing.
"I knew so many people with these great new ideas- and no one listened to us.” He shook his head, “We could have changed the entire American music industry- but not one person would give us the time of day. That’s why I do this- why I care to take the time and read the lyrics and talk to the people I sign on." 

"It’s not about making money- it’s about making music.”

Shuichi merely nodded as Kyn spoke. He gave the waitress a small nod before pulling his tea closer – glad to have something to keep his hands busy. He was feeling nervous enough as it was, talking about Eiri with his producer of all people. He did his best to push back thoughts of him, memories of his pale skin basking in the moonlight. "It’s good that you do,” He replied softly, earnestly. “I just want to follow in the footsteps of my heros, and become as great as they were – if not better. I want to give the kids of today someone to look up to and aspire to be. But not like the people you’re talking about. Bieber. It’s always been about creating truth in music for me. If I’m singing what I feel, I’m happy."
