{❄} “Indeed, your style of writing is quite intriguing-” Kyn leaned forwards, letting the fork linger on his pale lips for a moment before he spoke, “I’d love to know a little bit more about it, and about you- I mean, the two are obviously directly linked.”
“I’m just…honestly curious. That doesn’t happen often.” He sat back, listening intently for what the teen across from him might say. “Go on, I’m listening.”
“It doesn’t?” That was a surprising thing to hear. Was it so rare that writing was personal? Shuichi watched him, eyes wandering to the fork that rested on his lips. “I guess it’s just like what I said before. I write what I feel. It’s not always so easy to put it all down on paper.” That was an understatement. There were plenty of times he’d fallen into slumps and been unable to write much of anything. But he left that out.
“I didn’t realize that’s so weird, though. I thought most writers did pour themselves into their lyrics.” He thought of his hero, Ryuichi Sakuma, and couldn’t resist mentioning him. “Nittle Grapser’s lyrics always spoke to me. And Ryuichi is just so cool. I’ve always wanted to be just like him.” He paused, then gave a soft, sheepish laugh. “I even got a haircut like his, and I use the same shampoo. I want to emulate him, or even surpass him. Someday."
