Hugo noticed those tears immediately, and — without even thinking twice — shifted closer to Shuichi. Carefully, he reached out, brushing a gentle finger underneath his eye. “I do… I really do.” He smiled softly. “I mean… I know it’s crazy to say, but… you make me so happy.”

Shuichi’s blush flared and he cast his gaze down nervously. “I… I do? I can’t believe it.” It was the first time someone had so openly admitted their feelings for him. It was embarrassing, but what he wanted, for sure. His hand cloaked over the other’s larger one. “You make me happy, too.” He murmured sheepishly. “Oh, Hugo.”
