{❄} “Take it from someone who used to- measuring your success by that of those you look up to will do you no good, ever.” Kyn seemed serious, “All you will ever do is compare, and you’ll lose sight of what’s important- lose the chance of reaching all it is that you could have been.”
“And not to sound too forward,” Kyn sighed, leaving a slight pause between his words. “But would you mind too terribly if I asked you to calm down?"
"I’ve had a terribly tiring day and your…outbursts honestly aren’t helping anything.” He brought the cup once more to his lips, before ending with- “The words I speak are not meant to offend, you need not react so strongly when they are not meant as personal attacks but…humble inquiries.”
"But… Everyone is inspired by someone else, aren’t they? It can’t be so wrong.” Shuichi was pulling his tea closer, watching his shuddering reflection in the steaming cup. He didn’t drink from it. He listened as his producer spoke, and he bit down on his lower lip. His heart fell. It wasn’t personal? But he’d said it was cute. Or creepy. Shuichi didn’t understand how that wasn’t personal.
“Outbursts?” He replied softly. “A-ah…. Sure.” He blushed, a bit embarrassed.
