{❄} “Good, isn’t it?” Kyn smiled, “I’m friends with the head chef, here- he prepares it all himself, and surprises me every time. I suppose that’s why I like it, here. All the fish is taken from the middle of the ocean and flown in, which is why it tastes so good.”

“Now, the next odd question- Your first pet, if you had one?”

“It's so good. I’ve never had any like it. All the sushi I’ve had comes from convenience stores. It’s almost too pretty to eat.” Shuichi smiled softly. He met Kyn’s gaze at the next question. 

“Pets? I’ve never had one of those, either. I’ve always liked cats though. One year, when I was in third grade, there was this huge, stray tomcat that hid under our house. My sister and my mom hated him. But I used to feed him and play with him anyways. Then, our neighbor’s dog got lose and mauled him one day when I was at school. Whiskers. That was his name. Closest thing I’ve ever had to a pet."
